Language

In our language program, we are focusing on language experience by speaking, reading, writing and listening. The students are beginning to understand how to express themselves using different languages such as English and Turkish. 


In the development of oral language, we are using role play, reading aloud stories supported by visuals and actions. Additionally, personal dialogs are widely used in classroom to discuss personal experiences. Then common language experince is built in the school.


In the development of writing experience in KG2, shared writing activities, writing captions for photos or drawings.


In reading experience, we are using modelled reading to discover sound-symbol relations and words. Word walls and sight words help us to develop vocabulary. In free reading times we are using library books and class library books.
